Dear San Tan Family,

Thank you to all the grandparents who showed up for Grandparents Day lunch!

The varsity football and volleyball teams have started amazingly and are currently undefeated and ranked #1 in the Arizona 2A Conferenceby Maxpreps. The volleyball team has a big home game this Wednesday versus St. John Paul II at 6pm and the varsity football team hosts #7-ranked Vertias Prep this Saturday at 6pm.

We are less thank two weeks away from Homecoming! Read below on how to get your students involved in the school spirit this season.

"Tropical Paradise" Homecoming Information 2024

Homecoming is the week of Sept. 23-28!

This year's Homecoming Event, Party in Paradise, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 on the Power Campus with both a junior high and high school dance. If you are a planning on inviting a guest, please pick up a guest form at the Power Campus front desk. All guest forms are due to the Power Campus by Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Power Campus Paper Drive

With just 10 days left in the paper drive, Mr. Dudek pulled off a small miracle and an entire pallet of paper is coming to the school! With a now-commanding lead, let's see if any of the other teachers can supplant Mr. Dudek as leader. The winning teacher receives a $250 gift card for use in their classroom!

Please turn in all paper to the front office with the name of the teacher whose classroom you would like it donated. Additional points are being awarded for colored paper and cardstock!

The STCS paper drive ends officially on Friday, Sept. 20.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Sign up for end-of-quarter Parent-Teacher conferences

Conferences are organized in 90-minute blocks with the average conference time lasting 10 minutes. Please select the time block that is most convenient for your family and select the teachers you would like to conference with before selecting "submit".

Families can meet in the student union during their scheduled time block and wait for their teacher(s) to come and meet them for their appointment. This format allows families to move through all conferences with the least amount of wait time.

PSAT 8/9 - $20 Test Date: 10/17/2024

The PSAT 8/9 is available for current 8th- and 9th-grade students. PSAT 8/9 sets a readiness baseline and is the first assessment in the SAT Suite of Assessments.

PSAT/NMSQT - $20 Test Date: 10/16/2024

The PSAT/NMSQT is available for current 10th & 11th-grade students in the fall. Several scholarships use PSAT/NMSQT scores to find eligible juniors. Other partners and programs can help you get funding for college and academic honors.

SAT - $70 Test Date: 10/15/2024

The SAT is available for current 12th-grade students for the fall testing session.
