Dear San Tan Family,

Thank you to all of the families who have shown patience with the Power Road construction. Our community has done a great job overall being safe, kind, and adjusting to the inconveniences. Please note that the dirt service alley on the north side of campus is not open for through-traffic to Recker Road.

Tomorrow on campus is our first half-day, "A" Day Schedule (periods 1-3) with school releasing at 12:06pm. Coming up we also have a 3-day weekend, with no school on Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day.

Congratulations to Coach Cartwright and the football team. Last Friday night the squad knocked off the defending state football champs, Scottsdale Christian, 23-6. Join us at home for Friday Night Lights this week at 7pm for the first home game of the season vs. Shadow Mountain. Our Lady Roadrunners will open up the high school volleyball schedule tomorrow evening at home against Phoenix Christian. JV starts at 5pm followed by the varsity at 6pm.

Power Campus Paper Drive

The reigning Paper Drive Queen, Ms. Kovach, has now taken the lead in the paper drive! Competition is heating up, as the winning teacher will receive a $250 gift card for use in their classroom!

Please turn in all paper to the front office with the name of the teacher whose classroom you would like it donated. Additional points are being awarded for colored paper and cardstock!

The STCS paper drive ends officially on Friday, Sept. 20.

PSAT 8/9 - $20 Test Date: 10/17/2024

The PSAT 8/9 is available for current 8th- and 9th-grade students. PSAT 8/9 sets a readiness baseline and is the first assessment in the SAT Suite of Assessments.

PSAT/NMSQT - $20 Test Date: 10/16/2024

The PSAT/NMSQT is available for current 10th & 11th-grade students in the fall. Several scholarships use PSAT/NMSQT scores to find eligible juniors. Other partners and programs can help you get funding for college and academic honors.

SAT - $70 Test Date: 10/15/2024

The SAT is available for current 12th-grade students for the fall testing session.

Roadrunner Adventure Club (Junior High and High School)

Looking for adventure? Let's explore our home state together. This outdoor club will meet on Thursdays to plan and go on outdoor adventures together in the Arizona wilderness on Saturdays (twice a month). The group will hike and enjoy the best of our state’s pristine wilderness together.
