Dear Roadrunner,

It's hard to believe the first day of school is almost here! Our teachers and staff are ready and so excited to see all of you! 

A few reminders for our community: 

• Gates open at 8:05 am. Our students are heading to recess in the morning and their teachers will be out there with signs.
• If you have a Kindergartener you are allowed to walk your child into the classroom the first week of school. 
• Our office is open each day from 8 am - 4 pm. 
• Remember to attach your child's backpack tag to their backpack. This was in the folder at Open House.

Kindergarten Half Day: 12:00 pm

Dismissal (Gifted & Mainstream): 3:00 pm - 3:15 pm

Dismissal (Montessori): 3:20 pm - 3:40 pm

Parking Lot Video

With the staggered dismissal times this school year and a new process, this will be a learning curve for all our families this year. Please be patient in the drive lane. 

Arrival: 

• Kindergarten Parents are invited to walk their child into the classroom the first week of school. You are also welcome to drop them off at the gate as well. 
• Our gates open at 8:05 am for drop-off. 
• Please see the video for the flow of drop-off if you are both dropping off and/or walking your child up. 

Dismissal:

• Gifted & Mainstream Car Arrival for Pick-Up: 2:55-3:10 pm 
• Gifted & Mainstream Pick-Up Begins: 3:00 pm 
• Montessori Car Arrival for Pick-Up: 3:15 pm 
• Montessori Pick-Up Begins: 3:20 pm 
• If you have children in both Montessori and Mainstream/Gifted, you will pick up at the 3:20 pm dismissal window. 

Important:

• Please ensure your car tag is displayed clearly in the front of your car. You can pick up your car tag at Open House. If you have multiple children, you display all car tags.
• We encourage you to use the drive-lane and not walk up.

Before and After Care Sign-Up

It's that time of year again - Before and After Sign-Up! Please note, Before and After Care is not a drop-in service. Students need to be registered for the program.

The before and after care programs are designed to give parents the peace of mind and convenience knowing their children are receiving continuity of care between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:45 PM.

Teachers are Ready!

Our teachers enjoyed a fun team building activity today of a paint party led by our Art Teacher, Ms. Hann. It was a great way to relax before their amazing students arrive tomorrow!

My Hot Lunch Box is Open!

My Hot Lunch Box is now open for orders! You can begin to order your child's special lunches for the semester now. Remember, there is a 24 hour deadline each day to order. Vendors for the year include; Firehouse Subs, Panda Express, Raising Canes, Rubios, and Papa Johns! Please remember to update your student's grade level. 

MyHotLunchbox is introducing a new program this year that San Tan Charter School, and our community helped them with the idea. 

Donate a lunch!
Last school year, many parents asked if there was a way they could help students who don't receive lunch every day, and unfortunately there was not a way to do it that benefited everyone. Throughout the year, our administration team has been in contact with MyHotLunchbox and together we came up with an option to help those in need. When you purchase your student's lunch, there will be an option that says, 'Donate a Lunch'. You will be able to choose from pre-selected amounts or choose your own amount you would like to donate. At the beginning of each week, one of the members of our administration team will purchase food each day and make sure that the food is given to children that had little to no lunch.

Without the offers of families here at San Tan Charter, this would not be an option. The impact of your kindness goes further! Thanks to San Tan's initiative, MyHotLunchbox will now offer "Donate a Lunch" nationwide. Together, we're helping communities across the country fight childhood hunger. 

RASK Kit & Montessori Fees

Each year our students receive their San Tan RASK Kit. This kit includes a t-shirt, folder, and datebook. This fee is $30.

If you are a Montessori Family, we ask that you pay the $200 Montessori extension fee for the Montessori program. This helps to offset the cost for the Montessori supplies. *Please note, you should only pay the Montessori extension fee if your child is enrolled in the Montessori program. 

We do have a new student-designed t-shirt for the upcoming school year. Please be sure to update your student's t-shirt size when you submit your payment for the RASK kit.
